Meet Mrs. Wesoly
For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a teacher! I began my teaching career ten years ago at Richard D. Hubbard Elementary School in East Berlin, CT. I taught fifth grade for three years and this is currently my seventh year teaching third grade. I have worked with various grades in the past and I have to say third grade is fantastic! Third grade is the time when children become critical thinkers who participate in insightful discussions, take part in explorations to own their own learning, and feel comfortable taking risks and challenges to help them grow.
Being a lifelong learner is important to me. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and Psychology from Stonehill College in Easton, MA. While in college, I studied abroad at the National University of Ireland in Galway, Ireland where I continued my studies in Psychology. I then continued my learning at Saint Joseph College where I received my Masters Degree in Elementary Reading and Language Arts.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with my family- especially my son, Bryce. I am a very active person and a huge sports fan. I enjoy watching baseball games with Mr. Wesoly (although I am always cheering for the Red Sox and he is rooting for the Yankees). I love the beach and find that my favorite place to read is while sitting on the beach in Cape Cod. I also enjoy traveling and hope to share with you some of my pictures from when I studied abroad in Ireland.
